Archbishop of York
welcomes 'Fourth House' website
built by survivors

survivors

BY FRANCIS MARTIN AND
HATTIE WILLIAMS 28 APRIL 2022

A NEW website has been created by two
survivors of clerical abuse to support other
survivors and inform Church of England bishops,
dioceses, and the National Safeguarding Team.

The website, houseofsurvivors.org, collates guides, books,
newspaper articles, documentaries, survivor
initiatives, papers, and reviews.

The name alludes to the General Synod's
Houses of Bishops, Clergy, and Laity.
The website states: "A fourth House exists, long
unrecognised, which has done more to drive
necessary change in the Church's structures
and cultures."

From the Archdeacon,
I am delighted to announce, that following the interview, and with the agreement of Bishop Donald, and the parish representatives, The Rev. Nic Edwards, currently assistant curate of St. Peter and St. Paul, Moulton, has been offered and has accepted, the invitation to become Rector in the Bugbrooke, Harpole, Kislingbury and Rothersthorpe benefice.

The appointment of Nic is subject to the normal Church of England legal and administrative procedures.

Bishop Donald and I (Archdeacon) are very grateful to all who helped with the preparation of the profile, all the arrangements for the interview and for the continuing and encouraging ministry of the parishes in the service of Christ during the vacancy.

We pray for Nic as he completes his ministry in Moulton and as he prepares to work in the villages in the Benefice

The Venerable,
Richard Ormston
